The Wauwatosa School Board will meet for its first regular meeting of the month on Monday, October 14, 2024. The meeting will be held at the Fisher Administration Building (12121 W. North Avenue) in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, beginning at 6:00 p.m. A link to the meeting live stream can be found below:
Immediately following the Call to Order, the Board will allow public comment in accordance with Policy 0167.3 - Public Comment at Board Meetings. Please note that this will be the only opportunity for public comment during the meeting.
Following Public Comment, the Board will be asked to Approve the Appointment of the 2024-2025 SY Student Representatives to the Wauwatosa School Board.
Next, the Board will review and vote on the Consent Agenda.
Then, the Division of Human Resources will ask the Board to Approve the 2024-26 Administrative Contract for Kaci Smith as Associate Principal at West High School.
Next, the Division of Academic Performance will present to the Board New Secondary School Courses, a Proposal to Create a New Elementary STEM Elective, Starting with the 2025-26 SY, a Proposal to Retire Elementary Spanish at the end of the 2024-25 SY, a Proposal to Extend a Final Five-Year Charter Contract to WSTEM Starting with the 2025-26 School Year and Concluding with the 2029-2030 School Year, a Proposal to Retire USTEM at the end of the 2029-30 SY, and a Proposal to Retire MSTEM, Concluding with the Class of 2032.
Following this, the Division of Finance + Operations will present the Student Enrollment Report and Updated Enrollment Projections for 2024-25 (from 3rd Friday in September Count), discuss the 2025-26 Budget Calendar and 2024-25 Budget, and present the Long-Range Facilities Plan.
Then, the Division of Pupil + Family Supports will discuss the Open Enrollment Governance Strategy - Implementation of Policy 5113-Open Enrollment Program (Inter-District) Minimum Student Threshold as well as the Potential Implementation of a JK-6 Elementary School Grade Configuration and School Boundary Line Modifications in Accordance with Policy 5120.
