School Board Meeting Preview

The Wauwatosa School Board will meet for its first meeting of the month on Monday, January 13, 2025. The meeting will be held at the Fisher Administration Building (12121 W. North Avenue) in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, beginning at 6:00 p.m., and will be followed by an Executive (Closed) Session. A link to the regular meeting live stream can be found below:

Immediately following the Call to Order, the Board will allow public comment in accordance with Policy 0167.3 - Public Comment at Board Meetings. Please note that this will be the only opportunity for public comment during the meeting.

Next, the Board will review and vote on the Consent Agenda.

Then, the Division of Finance + Operations will bring forward the following items for discussion: 2025-2026 SY Open Enrollment Seat Allocation, Audit Request for Proposal (RFP), Owner’s Representative Contract - 2024 Capital Referendum, GSF Contract Extension, new Transparency Website, Presentation of Multi-Year Budget Projections, and an Overview of Account Structure and WUFAR Codes.

Following this, the Policy Committee will bring the following policies to the Board as second readings and/or for action to approve:

  1. Policy 2510 - Adoption of Textbooks Primary Curricular Resources

  2. Policy 2521 - Selection of Instructional Materials and Equipment Supplemental Curricular Resources

The Policy Committee will also bring the following policies to the Board as first readings. These policies will be brought back as action items at a future Board meeting.

  1. Policy 5410 - Promotion, Placement, and Retention

  2. Policy 5420 - Reporting Student Progress

  3. Policy 5421 - Grading

  4. Policy 5451 - Student Recognition

  5. Policy 5451.01 - Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship

  6. Policy 5451.02 - Technical Excellence Higher Education Scholarships

  7. Policy 5463 - Credits from Nonpublic Schools

  8. Policy 5505 - Academic Integrity

  9. Policy 6236 - Community Services Fund (Fund 80)

Next, the Board will adjourn into an Executive (Closed) Session to discuss the Superintendent’s performance evaluation and the terms of a charter school agreement between the Board of Education and Wauwatosa STEM Inc.
