The Wauwatosa School District Community Leader Academy is for interested community members to become more involved, informed, and given the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with District leaders.
The academy will be designed with an eight session structure. Each session will last for 90 minutes. Half of the sessions will be conducted from 7:30 a.m to 9:00 a.m, and the other four will take place from 6:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m. The variation in time is to take into account and better fit in with the busy schedules of community members.

“Public education has changed over the years and how a school runs differs from the memories of the adult stakeholders within this school district,” said Wauwatosa School District Superintendent, Demond Means. “The Wauwatosa School District has relationships made with District stakeholders already, however it is always possible to expand and strengthen those connections. There are opportunities to develop partnerships, ideas and generate better comprehension and communication between community members and the Wauwatosa School District.”

The Wauwatosa School District Community Leader Academy is an opportunity to deepen the understanding of the public school system in the Wauwatosa community.
