On Monday, August 26, 2024, the Wauwatosa School District Board of Education approved Superintendent Dr. Demond Means’ recommendation to appoint Mr. Kadeem Batts as Athletic Director at Wauwatosa West High School.
“Mr. Batts impressed our team with his leadership and commitment to student development,” stated Mr. Corey Golla, Wauwatosa West Principal. “His inspiring vision for a comprehensive athletic program will undoubtedly be an asset at Wauwatosa West. Mr. Batts will be an exceptional partner, sharing our vision of being a school Where Every Student Thrives.”
Batts brings significant experience to this position, having previously served in various coaching, health, fitness and other athletic-related roles in southeastern Wisconsin and Georgia. Batts served as an athletic coach in Atlanta and Powder Springs, Georgia, providing guidance and leadership to student-athletes during practices and games. As a Health & Physical Education teacher, Batts introduced physical fitness to children in kindergarten through fifth grade. After relocating to Wisconsin, Batts served in coaching and player development roles at Saint Francis High School, before stepping into the role of Program Manager at STRYV365 in Milwaukee. In this role, Batts helped children build resiliency tools to equip them for the future. Most recently, Batts served as the Athletic Director at Milwaukee Academy of Science, where he was responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the school’s athletic programs. He has been recognized for fostering an environment of excellence and growing athletes and coaches alike.
Batts played basketball professionally for the Orlando Magic, Erie BayHawks, Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi Basketball League, and Wroclaw Basketball League. He earned a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Providence College in 2014.

Batts’ will begin this role on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
